Pros

Flexible work-life balance and great coworkers make it a fun environment. Interesting projects so far. Self-starters will go far here as there is a lot of emphasis on internal contributions for promotions and your bonus. Pay is good enough, but benefits (such as maternity leave and tuition reimbursement) could be better.

Cons

Upper management is stretched too thin to properly support their teams. Current project has a Director overseeing us while also full-time on another project. Very limited access/availability which can lead to frustration and feeling like there's a lack of support.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you were happy with your benefits, while you were a CapTecher. We take this feedback seriously, and work hard to provide fair observations and feedback on hard work, skills and engagement. Our compensation model is competitive and reflective of local market and industry benchmarking. We continuously strive to develop strong leadership within all levels at CapTech, and we recently created a shared office leadership model in the Atlanta office that we’re really excited about! There’s always room for improvement, and we’re always open to hearing feedback, so thank you for sharing your perspective. If you have additional input, please feel free to contact me directly. I’m open to a conversation. -Suzie Turner, Principal

Atlanta - not a place for minorities

Pros

It’s easy to pass the technical screening and fake your way around for a while.

Cons

Recruiting use “culture fit” to really focus on hiring/promoting Caucasians in the Atlanta office. All the recent directors: all Caucasians. All the recent college new hires: all caucasians. There’s a lack of cultural sensitivity around the office: - an offensive $2000 Buddhist gong was bought and used as a symbol of “innovation”. - suggestions to dress up like different World Cup countries for team bonding - folks are openly mocked for their dietary restrictions and lifestyle choices During recruiting and interviewing they sell a great culture and flat organization. It has become the opposite. There’s been a huge influx of Slalom leadership that don’t follow the “Others Talk, We Listen” motto. Instead there is a lot of back channeling and closed door meetings. “Let the big guns figure this out”

We recently launched a company-wide Diversity & Inclusion program. Our D&I committee will be working across the company to prioritize diversity initiatives in recruiting and ongoing employee engagement.
