Pros

CT will pay for your learning and development. This is good because you have a lot of free time while client work is slow.

Cons

You can spend a lot of time on the bench and that is out of your control. Very rigid promotion structure based on time at company instead of merit. Low pay for technical positions and lots of downtime where you have nothing to do. People either love it here or want out as soon as possible.

Thank you for leaving your thoughts and feedback. The bench is designed as a layover of sorts between projects, not a place of total downtime. However, you are right, we do work hard to fill the bench time with learning and development opportunities so our consultants experience growth while not staffed on a client project. We also work hard to make sure our consultants are supported by competitive compensation and a suite of traditional benefits and new offerings such as mental health benefits, fertility assistance benefits, and a fun pick-your-own benefits platform. If you’d like to chat further about your bench experience, please feel free to reach out to me directly. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR

Pros

-Great culture of events/happy hours/get togethers that makes you feel like you are a part of a team outside of your project teams -Quick onboarding process for new hires that gets you in and out with ease -Good pay -Hybrid option - go in when you want, work from home when you want (offices are very nice and quiet, so a great place to see colleagues and get a lot of stuff done)

Cons

-With everyone working across the country on teams, it is definitely tough to create a sense of teamwork that you would get from all being the office

Thank you for taking a moment to highlight some of the things that make CapTech such a special and award-winning company. The pandemic certainly changed the landscape of how we all work, but CapTech has always been a place that values flexibility and work-life balance. We’ve embraced the hybrid model so that our people can work in a way that best suits them. Company events keep our culture alive and well and our people have the opportunity to work in the office, from home, or a mixture of both if they choose. Our culture was built on our core values and we’ll always work hard to maintain all the great things that make us who we are. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR

Pros

Great culture that really supports an individual's growth and career interests. There are plenty of opportunities not only to grow vertically at CapTech, but to also make a lateral shift in your career path should you choose to do so. One thing that CapTech does unique for a consulting firm that not many others don't emphasize is valuing work/life balance and making an effort to accommodate that as much as possible (i.e. family, lifestyle choices)

Cons

- Sometimes growth may be a little hindered by the type of client work you're doing, however that's bound to happen in consulting. - Opportunity for improvement with salary negotiation - While giving feedback is highly encouraged, there's more of a fear of putting the person down than giving the whole truth, as unpleasant as it may be.

Thank you for your thoughtful review! We want our people to envision a long career with us, so giving them growth options is key to our collective success. Our consultants with interest in deep technical skills can take the path to becoming Subject Matter Experts, and those with interests in growing others can lead and teach through management. Those are just two examples of how someone can shape their career at CapTech. We understand that feedback can be hard at times, but it’s necessary, so I want to invite you to chat with me directly so we can talk through your thoughts on giving feedback along with salary negotiation. Thanks again! -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR
