Pros

The best part of working at CapTech is definitely the people. Every person that I have interacted with within my service offering is genuinely passionate about what they do and will help you with anything they can. I think there is a great mentoring culture here, and you have the ability and freedom to get involved in anything you are interested in, however, whether or not you have the time to do that based on your client engagement is a different story.

Cons

Sometimes it can feel like if you are staffed on a client full time in a staff aug role, your contributions and amount of, or level of work that you are doing can go unnoticed. This seems to especially be the case when there aren't other CapTechers on your project or, maybe there are but they aren't closely involved in your delivery work at the client. As a result, you might not get as meaningful feedback on your performance at the client overall which makes your internal growth path more challenging.

Thank you for your review and commitment to CapTech. You’re right. It is the people here who make this company great! We're happy to hear you feel supported and empowered as a CapTecher and are taking advantage of the many opportunities to grow.  As you noted, feedback is an integral part of CapTech and plays a significant role in an individual's growth. That said, the type of role our consultants are in while supporting a client should not limit the feedback they receive. If you have not done so already, I would like to encourage you to work with your Coach and Account Manager to draft a plan on how you can solicit feedback in your current role. I am also available to work with you if you need additional guidance. Thank you for all you do, and we are grateful to have you as part of the CapTech community! - Katy Apostolides, HR Director

Pros

I was able to grow a ton at CapTech. With the right "coach" or manager, if you wanted to learn, grow and be a part of the community and leadership you had the ability to do so through continuous learning, certifications, communities of practice, feedback, etc. Certain areas of the company are flat and encourage growth and leadership. I was never afraid to reach out and get to know Partners and Principles in the organization. I never felt like a "number" in an organization of over 1,000 people. My network grew with many amazing people across the country (8 offices).

Cons

Local "leadership" (Denver office) was stifling, dictatorial and if you didn't agree with the "top" two people then you were driven out, either subtly or aggressively. They directed from the "top down" and claimed to encougae leaders at all levals but that was not the case. Their way or the highway. People would leave the company and there would be nothing about their departure except a single sentence at the bottom of an email on a Friday. The two created a culture of fear (CapTech as a company promotes a wonderful work/life balance, in the Denver office people were literally afraid to work from home, leave early to work from home etc).... and those two keep getting promoted.
