Pros

The office is nice; there's cold brew coffee on tap and decent food from time to time for free. Free yogurt and cereal daily. Super flexible Work from Home situation in the Recruiting group (you only have to be in the office 2 days per week, and even those 2 days are relatively flexible).

Cons

Don't take a Recruiter job here. Can't speak on other jobs, but don't take a Recruiter job. There's no ATS system. There aren't any systems at all. The whole job is done in Excel spreadsheets and MS Outlook. There is a weekly report you have to fill out with hundreds of rows of Excel updates, something that would be automatically handled by the simplest ATS system. This is a big part of your job, whereas if there was any Software product being utilized, it would literally not be a part of your job. Also - 75% of reqs you work on will get cancelled, but the business partners approach you with aggressive, 911 level urgency for every single req. You put in a ton of work because you're under the gun, and then a week later they just come back and say "oh we don't need those anymore." The Recruiting group at this company is unlike anything I've ever seen in a professional environment. It was jarring. I've never written a Glassdoor review before - but I felt super obligated to for this company because I wouldn't want to see another person unsuspectingly join the Recruiting team.

Pros

Nice offices and company events

Cons

There’s so much racism at Capgemini. Yes, they hire people of color but the way the black employees are treated is absolutely disgusting. My partner and I both work for Capgemini for the past 18 months and the amount of racism I’ve seen shown towards him is disheartening. As an ally for racism towards anyone I feel as though it is my duty to speak up when I can. I have witnessed managers speak over black employees during meetings, cut them off, question any and everything they do and strategically target them to have them fired. Enough is enough. I find it strange that the racism and micro aggressions are mostly coming from those of the southeast Asian employees. Capgemini boasts about their diversity but never take into account what their black and brown employees experience. Typical corporate office. My partner tries to just keep quiet about it but I can’t allow it to continue. What’s the point in hiring all people of color if you treat the black employees like incompetent criminals at every chance you get?

Pros

Decent place to get foot in the door type when starting new or taking a break in between your career transition.

Cons

Extreme boys club, 0 diversity, women are not treated well and instead of giving them voice they shut them down. Average work, organization itself requires big transformation and vision, too many silos and duplications in the organization, very sales focused which takes aways the client focus. Old Indian boys who supports one another and creates no room at the top for others. Lip services for diversity but bad place for women overall. People are overworked in useless and operational things. The CEO (Global and US) needs to shake up things and break the boys club culture. No voice from him (US CEO) ever heard within the organization. The board and shareholders should pay some attention and look into internal core issues. Capgemini can struggle and disappear like how big giant Nokia did!! If you are a women aspired to do well in your career, move on look somewhere else.
