Pros

The medical insurance isn't too bad for an individual.

Horrible leadership. I worked in the Medicare department doing home health reviews. The manager, supervisor, and team leads are horrible. They micromanage EVERYTHING as if we are a bunch of kids. They don't treat just one nurse like this, they run the entire department this way. Multiple people are leaving because of the poor leadership. In fact, the company just lost the contract for the business line for my department. They will be super nice to your face but when you voice your concerns, they turn on you. The lead told other leads to write me up because she didn't like me. She will throw you under the rug quick. She did my training but it really wasn't training and turns out she does not have a clue what she's talking about. She kept giving us wrong info and wasn't even teaching us everything we needed to know. She does not belong in a leadership role. She monitors everything you do from when you come and go to lunch and breaks, Me and other coworkers have compared notes about the leadership and we are all tired of this company. They make changes to processes that slow done production but then hound us about pushing cases when our inventory level increases. Besides the poor leadership and over the top micromanaging, the company uses interaction desktop and you have to make sure you use the right aux codes for every little thing, Then they do screen capture and the leads do reviews to make sure you are doing as they think you should be doing. If you don't read your e-mails quick enough or you don't open programs quick enough at the start of your shift, they will question you. You can't help your coworkers and they can't help you. All questions must be sent in an e-mail to a leadership box and it takes forever to get a reply. The manager will monitor your teams status and make the team lead question why you are on a call and want to know who you were talking to. They have really good nurses there but they are running people off. They have a lot of turn over in my department. I could keep going but these are the biggest issues. Lastly, your insurance doesn't start until you have completed 2 months of employment and you are not allowed to take time off in the first 90 days, even if just a few hours for a DR's appointment. The work itself wouldn't be that bad, but the poor leadership and the culture the company fosters is not a positive one. My supervisor even told me that micromanaging is the culture of Carecentrix. Run away from this company fast!!!
