      Guaranteed work. Always have option to pick up overtime. Carilion Clinic as a company is great overall just be sure to shadow the floor/area you're interested in some are not so great. Always have professional development/continuing education opportunities available.

      Cons

      Mandated overtime. PCTs aren't required to be CNAs and get minimal training before "completing" their orientation . Every unit seems to function as it's own department which means very different standards/expectations from one unit to the other which is shocking for such a large hospital. Some floors have a toxic work environment that may or may not be allowed/fostered by management.
