Pros

Many great employees. Decent benefits.

Cons

Non-engineering middle managers who have no business managing people haven't a clue what they're doing. Rude behavior by upper management/partners is tolerated. Arrogant partners who don't give you the time of day. Don't expect to be compensated for a job well done. The only way to get a decent salary increase is to beg or threaten to leave. Lip service and empty promises.

Pros

Carollo is a good firm that is committed to producing a quality end-product for its clients. The attention to detail is incredible.

Cons

A historic allergy to innovation and a new decisions-are-made-upstairs-only management philosophy combines to create a risk that Carollo will bet on all the wrong horses as far as new technology is concerned.

Great opportunities for multiple career paths

Pros

Well respected firm with a long history. Focus on water engineering attracts top industry talent and amazing people to learn from and work with. There are multiple career paths available to those with strong technical or client service skills or both. There are opportunities to contribute to a variety of project types: infrastructure, process, water reuse/resources, research, etc. Compensation is fair. Good benefits. Great culture. I really enjoy the people I work with. Local offices sponsor activities outside office hours: happy hours, holiday parties, picnics, sporting events.

Cons

Not many. More praise and encouragement could be given to non-engineering staff. Work life balance can be achieved but employees often need to advocate for them selves to not take on too many projects.
