Pros

Easy job, not a lot of rules are enforced.

Cons

Overtime is the norm and is basically expected. No enforced rules means some people do all the work and some do nothing.

Thank you for your review. The clinical research field is multifaceted and at times require us to pivot at a moment’s notice. While there are times that we ask our staff to contribute additional hours, these hours are always presented as an option, and some staff do welcome this opportunity. We appreciate your feedback as we continuously work to meet our employee’s needs. Amer Nasic - Site Director

Pros

I am fairly new, but I believe my position is the lowest of full-time benefited positions. Pay is decent ($15-18 according to glassdoor), hours are flexible. There are certain times you need to be here at odd hours but basically you know your job and make your schedule around getting your job done, which is awesome. I could see how entry level folks in the clinic could be frustrated with lower pay and weird schedules (less flexible for them), but medical research is so complicated and they aren't involved in the planning, logistics, and set-up. They just collect their piece of data at the right time and while that is very important, it doesn't require the higher pay range. They generally promote from within, and I feel like there's always room to move up or switch positions to something that's a better fit for you. Everything has a strict protocol, which is good for me because once you learn, you don't have to worry about being creative enough or doing the right thing at the right time--they tell you. The training department is super helpful. Everyone I've met seems great and super willing to help you out.

Cons

Without experience in the medical field, it can be awkward working in the clinic until you learn to be sure of yourself and professional about bodily fluids and touching people. Like I said above, sometimes you need to be here at 5am or 11pm or for a few hours on a Saturday, but you'll know in advance and be able to plan for it.

Pros

The people who actually do the work are good. Hard working reliable co-workers. Pay is ok but not great.

Cons

Some management do not understand what the employees actually do. If there are issues just hire more managers to to create more layers.
