Pros

The general idea of the product is good and I think if they fix some (a lot) of their systemic issues they can achieve a lot of good things.

Cons

- It doesn't seem like they have any training or pre-requisites for middle-management except having worked at the company for several years. Not everyone can be a good manager and as they said, people leave managers not companies. This leads to a toxic environment and managers with 0 emotional intelligence. - At times the 'rocket ship' almost feels like a cult. Don't know how often you hear about how awesome the company is and how great everything is going without learning more about the actual data and how the product is performing. This is a SALES company, not a tech company. - Talking about data, the product is not data driven at all, decisions are made based on what leadership decides and everyone just seems to follow blindly, data is not available about the performance of the product and if you ask, they will just tell you that doesn't matter. - If you have experience outside the company, they won't let you apply any of your skills. You should just do as they say and create a bunch of slides every time you want to share something. As Steve Jobs used to say: "People who know what they're talking about don't need PowerPoint" - No work-life balance.

Pros

Incredible, transformative product that is completely changing how companies go about their day to day decision making processes. Great leadership that are holding on tight to a very fast moving rocket ship, gathering an incredible customer base and partner ecosystem. Certainly a lot of incredibly bright people behind the product and it continues to move with the speed of sound.

Cons

Hard to consider this a Con, however for full transparency I have included the following: In terms of education and training, it's pretty intense from the standpoint of how much information you need to absorb. This is to be accepted based on the speed of growth and momentum of the solution itself. It can be a bit overwhelming " drinking from a fire hose " however the enablement is well organized and access to information is strong.

Pros

Until the team ruined my positive impression of it on my last day in the company, I thought I was lucky to be a part of it. I don’t know how all the learning things developed in my ex-department affect Celonis employees overall, but I saw that my managers were very engaged in people development practices. They cared about how people felt within the team, checked compatibility, and gently provided me valuable personal feedback I’ll work on. Celonis definitely make me learn myself better, and I seemed to have reliable supporters during this journey. My tasks were largely routine but I had some side projects, which made me acquire new skills, and they must be useful in the future. However, these projects required extra hours. It seems to be common in the company. I’m impressed by how fast projects are implemented. Many processes are chaotic and messy now, and it’s a chance for anyone who wants to make impactful changes. I spent at Celonis 6 months but it feels more. Within the team, I didn’t feel that working students are treated somehow differently. In the last month, I searched for a new job, and after a number of interviews see that the working student salary in Celonis is very favorable.

Cons

This is the company where the two most unpleasant and unethical episodes of my work-life occurred. The first is concerned with dealing with one of the receptionists. I've never felt such a disdainful attitude to myself. Ever. One episode of ignorance literally brought me to tears, which had never happened to me at work. Apparently, the team that sets the culture and ethical standards in the company doesn't feel that offboarding is an area to be ethical, too. I've never gotten negative feedback in relation to how I perform my tasks, only close to the end of one project, I was said I lacked initiative. It was a fair critique as by that time I was exhausted by this project. The manager kept suggesting changes to the materials approved before, and gradually I started to feel that I'm expected to only implement someone else's ideas and my opinion is constantly a wrong one. We didn't get along with this manager, and I feel that not extending my contract is a reasonable decision from her side. I understand it but not the way how this decision was passed to me. In fact, I was fired in one day. In an hour, to be more specific. They set a call with no mention it would be about my future at Celonis, not about tasks to take up during my vacation the upcoming week. Having announced the news on the call, they asked me to return the laptop on the same day and just blocked my account! I was unable to say goodbye to anyone I worked with or pass some tasks. They just ignored the fact I officially have two more weeks in the company after the announcement. It was a huge disappointment. I used to think we had good relationships in a team, there were open and honest talks about how I felt about my job. I expected the contract wouldn't be extended because I didn't feel I'm a perfect match for the team. Still, I really thought that goodbye would be different, I made no rude mistakes to be treated in that way. I was promised a reference letter to be sent to me at the beginning of October, but it's November now, and the letter is not yet there. It seems that the HR responsible for my offboarding ignores my inquires.
