Pros

Cool product. Experienced, sincere and highly competent management. Unlimited PTO. MacBook issued if you prefer.

Cons

Legitimately the worst opportunity for a salesperson I've ever observed- long sales cycle, overly complex sale in all phases, services exceed subscription cost making it cost prohibitive and your comp. minimal, exhausting POC, painful implementation, ridiculous quotas you couldn't even hit in four years. There are two people in sales who have ever done well at Celonis because they started early. Had all the accounts and everything was sold by SAP. Now you'd have 10 accounts in Strategic (Enterprise), 25 in Key (Mid-Market) and SAP is a rival after buying a competitor. Consulting firms won't actually work with you for the reasons stated and ServiceNow isn't going to save you. Growth is not through commercial accounts, but through large consulting firms preloading years of credits upfront through a deep discount and often using those into your accounts in their proprietary form, undermining your viability.

Company Seeks White German Males For Advancement

Pros

If you're a white German guy who lives in Munich, and are friends with the execs, this is THE place for you. You'll get the respect and attention you need, you'll be given chances for advancement, and your team will rally behind you. (Check the leadership page for details - the one woman will be leaving, so the page needs to be updated).

Cons

If you happen to be anyone else. You're out of luck. You'll work long hours, expend tremendous amounts of energy to get tasks done with fewer resources than needed, and be paid around 75% of your peers, all for the luxury of working for a 10-year-old "startup" that calls itself the next Google -- in Germany though. Note how many of the "good" on here are from people working at Celonis for less than a year. Anyone who has been there longer starts to see things for how they really are...

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback. Diversity is a topic of critical importance for all of us in Celonis as we truly believe that the best team wins - and the best team needs to be a diverse one, we are committed to providing equal opportunities to all employees. Several months ago i took the step to share in a transparent way how we select for diversity, you can see this by taking a look at our current diversity statement to see what initiatives are already up: https://www.celonis.com/careers/diversity At the moment there are many initiatives on how to strengthen, enrich and extend diversity and inclusion initiatives at Celonis, taking the Women@Celonis group as an example. Furthermore, we are continuously hiring new Celonauts to be able to further distribute the high workload and build up new teams, we are continually recruiting to pick up the increased workload generated by a hyper growth environment. However, there are various initiatives in place, such as Headspace, and our employee community Resilience@Celonis, that should give you - and your colleagues - guidance and advice on how to take breaks and deal with stressful situations or how to prioritise on various tasks. If you have any concerns or just the need to talk, please don’t hesitate to seek a conversation with your manager, or directly reach out to me. Best regards, Kevin Blair (Talent Acquisition)

Pros

• The celonis technology - currently incomparable and light years beyond other "solutions" with regard to the value it brings to businesses (at least that's what they tell us). • A focus on sustainability. The first company I've seen talking about the "green line" in business.

Cons

Is anyone making money here except the top leadership? Comp ratios are not good and, with unattainable goals, there is minimal ability to make the variable. And a non-exhaustive list of additional cons to note: • leadership focuses on numbers over people - and it shows • significant employee turnover - making it difficult to get things done and/or get up to speed when you join (read: chaos) • poor pay, particularly for those who have been with the company a while. Even when transferring departments or being promoted, a small cap is mandated for salary increases. • lack of communication and transparency around company changes, which encourages very low employee morale • programs are overengineered and unnecessarily complex • even at this company size, there is a ton of confusion around roles and stepping on toes. This is not only inefficient but creates internal conflict. (Anyone know of a solution to make a company work more efficiently??) • partner GTM motions conflict with our sales teams (also inefficient, causing internal conflict but apparently the CRO "likes the tension") • given the above, the culture is awful... ¤ and that's what happens when you bring on "leaders" from companies with poor work cultures.
