      Good training to jumpstart into the healthcare industry, but underpaid and stressful job.

      Pros

      Lots of training, good mentors, ocassional lunches, and besides the fuzeball table I never touched, free sodas and coffee! You'll meet some awesome (and some not so awesome) people here. If you love being on the phone/computer all day, arguing with insurance reps, and are very attentive to the tiniest details, this job is perfect for you!

      Cons

      Early shifts (getting out of bed and being at work around 6am is a STRUGGLE), stressful job with quotas and metrics that need to be met (made harder by lack of sleep), strict rules (especially dress code and trust me they will send you home), and underpaid (can be making much more for doing the same thing at genentech). And about the core values here...yeah no one really sticks to them.

      Great company with almost zero room for growth.

      Pros

      ABC had great above average starting salaries. The benefits were absolutely amazing. I was shocked when I left and realized that most insurance is terrible. All of my co-workers were great.

      Cons

      There is almost zero room for professional growth or raises. Raises were your typical 1%-4% yearly raise. When I worked there the average employee tenure was 20+ years. While that's great from a culture aspect, no one ever leaves. Promotion only comes if your in it for the long haul. Politics galore. Some people who really, really need to be let go are left to govern their department like its their own personal kingdom.
