Pros

Coworkers who give their best

Cons

CSD is squeezing employees out of perks and benefits for their profit. Instead of following industry trends, why don't you start listening to the concerns of your employees and do something BENEFICIAL FOR ALL CLINICAL LEVELS?!!

Pros

- People are nice - Good for experience if you are in the psych field That's honestly it. Most of the people are nice, and some are very kind and understanding of where the frustration can come from if you have any. It is also a good way to gain an understanding of children who are on the spectrum especially if you plan on working in ABA or any other psych position.

Cons

- Disorganized - Unsatisfactory training - Bad communication/planning - Terrible pay The other negatives reviews are right and I don't know where those highly positive reviews are coming from because it doesn't sound like the average BS (Behaviour Specialist) experience. Out of many jobs I have worked at, this company seems to be the most disorganized (and I have worked in high paced settings). Their disorganization branches out in many ways from scheduling to training. The people who are training you aren't good at teaching/speaking (can be lost themselves) so it becomes very rushed and confusing. They also withhold the presentation slides during some sections of training so not only does it not help to learn, but it makes it feel like there is a lack of trust between the company and hires. Training isn't very good if you really want to understand how to really deal with the kids you face - you really want to have to be in ABA. Because of that, it almost feels pointless to tend to these children, especially with how fast they hire and how poorly they prepare you. Going back to the disorganization, they are hiring at breakneck speeds that their own hiring team can't even keep up. I received numerous follow-up texts from a recruiter saying they had me in their schedule for a follow up and so forth when nothing was accomplished for over a month until I pushed for more communication because I had other jobs lining up and wanted more clarity in terms of what to expect and scheduling (it was only until I mentioned that they suddenly hired me). I thought being hired would mean I would see the end of the disorganization, but no, it was just a preview of how the company is actually run. I could say so much more about how disorganized this company is but other reviews can speak for me as well. When it came to actually working with the kids, there was little to no communication or information given to me about them until the day of. Only days after the first meet I would then get a rundown of the kid's case file and learning trees (I mean wouldn't it make sense to introduce all of that BEFORE meeting the child?). And while being nice to a new hire is fine, it's not enough when it comes to putting someone in the field and is actually not encouraging at all. This job is fine for someone who is doing nothing else in their life with very little responsibility and I say that because I know someone who has been a BS at this company for 5+ yrs with little complaint because they aren't doing anything else in their life but that (no shade to them but they still live with parents, have no kids, little bills to pay, and no social life). So if that is also your background, go for it I guess. But I don't know how they expect someone to live off of the little hours they give out even when they say they will always find something to fill out your schedules. If you are part-time, the hours are so little and at odd times that it's hard to even manage another job because of how all over the place it can be. I gave this company 2 stars because only one of the stars is made up of how nice other BS and BCBAs were. The company overall is not impressive and is taking advantage of those who actually care.
