Pros

Typical large company with many layers. Always have job opportunities available.

Cons

Not transparent. Silos are common. Very slow to move and react. Not very customer-focused.

Pros

Unlimited sick days, decent benefit package

Cons

Discrimination, extreme favoritism, no career growth, toxic work place in software engineering area. Contractors can come and go as they please and work from home for months, it's absolutely ridiculous!

Pros

-Nice new building -Decent benefits, 1hr lunches for salaried employees -Friendly low-level employees

Cons

-Frequent unpaid overtime -Nearly impossible to change jobs or departments -Relatively high turnover esp in cust service and sales, leading to ballooning workload for all departments that they are slow to hire replacements to help with, if they try at all. You may be stuck with it for your employment there. -Most managers got their positions from knowing the former CEO (new CEO is much better), NOT from internal advancement or being particularly qualified for the position. They are commonly referred to as FoJ's, "Friend(s) of Jim". -All positions require regular input/help from other departments, but that leads to HUGE issues because most are too busy with their own workloads to help out----and their own workloads require them to ask help of others as well, and those others are probably too busy to help. Thus, a lot falls through the cracks out of necessity, leading to angry internal and customer calls. -Salesmen are an arrogant bunch, even moreso than usual, and most positions deal with them regularly. Sales management seems to encourage this frat boy attitude. -Frequent gossip about personal, private issues, which fortunately I avoided but still found it very shocking how many employees (at all levels) were so open-mouthed about others. Many have up & quit suddenly as a result of this.
