Pros

Decent starting salary ~$40,000 per year (hourly position so you're eligible for overtime) and good benefits through United Healthcare. You get 10 days of paid vacation, can purchase 5 additional days, and get 7 personal days and can make your own schedule. Do know that you're expected to work one late night until 8PM per week and 1 FULL Saturday every 8 weeks. You're also able to work from home through manager approval. I loved my colleagues! I met some fantastic, hilarious, and overall good people while working here and made close friends.

Cons

I was working at the Chicago Riverside location when they laid off the entire DeVry department and relocated the Chamberlain colleagues to Addison. The "Admissions Representative" is essentially a telemarketing position where you are dialing (upwards of 100 phone calls per day) prospective students that you are expected to convert into applicants. It can be a stressful job as it is numbers based and you will be reprimanded if you do not perform. It's a repetitive job with no opportunity for growth. Hard to make lateral movements in the company.

Pros

The world needs more nurses, you help provide that. Managers don’t really micro manage Holidays off Nice PTO policy (and unlimited FTO for leaders)

Cons

Layoffs. Seems to happen often. CEO, flaunts his big fancy multi million dollar home, Rolex watch, Gucci suits on videos, and his net worth is public, but the second there is a dip, he is quick to lay off staff, managers, directors and above without notice and will threaten to do it again indirectly if your smart enough to read though his words. Laying off your SME’s/top Performers who are dedicated and have been with you for years will only put you further behind.

Pros

company does have work from home opportunities

Cons

major micro-management. unattainable/unrealistic goals even if an employee hit their goals they would be scolded for not doing more. turn over seems to be very high. even in management positions so managers have very little experience in their jobs.
