Pros

It’s an ethical company that truly cares about clients. That’s about it.

Cons

Misogyny, double standards, no support for career goals, bad behavior is rewarded, absolutely no communication. We are treated as order takers, not adults with brains. If you’re not a kissup , you won’t be promoted.

Pros

It does look like a cosy job where you can be an employee almost forever without too much effort which is fine if you care more about who you know than what you know.

Cons

It's not a meritocracy! If you know the right people in management you get promotions and salary raises. If you only focus on working hard and delivering good quality and on time then Tim Heier and his people will destroy your career.

Pros

Charles Schwab is a great company to work for. The people are very friendly and nice to work with and the company holds true to its values. It’s a collaborative environment with a team focus.

Cons

The recruiters need to know the role better so they can explain it more accurately to prospects. I was told that there was some time answering phones but there was a big focus on development as a financial consultant. We had one hour meeting once every two weeks if the phones weren’t busy. It takes a year in the position to start even discussing financial plans. What the position really entails is answering phones 8-10 hours straight each day. You rotate through the program but each rotation involves answering phones for rude clients. I know I am not the only person in the program that felt the position was not described accurately.
