CFED corporate treats all employees contracted to their customers as just numbers and expendable. The benefits were not particularly great, and Human Resources was often unresponsive when there were benefit issues. When working to backfill open positions, CFED recruitment was incredibly slow, rejected known good candidates, and often cleared candidates who were not qualified for the positions posted. Additionally, when a contract is lost, there are claims that CFED recruitment will assist in finding other positions on a similar contract; however, there was no support, and in many cases, recruitment's poor means of vetting candidates actually hindered the successful transition of internal candidates to similar positions.

Most of the job is spent with govt colleagues, not with consulting company; often the consulting company doesn't fully understand the different culture and expectations of the work onsite, but this has been slowly improving.
