Cons

Hostile work environment in finance. Clueless leaders don’t value talent. Very few career growth opportunities. People that actually know how to do the work leaving left and right. You’ve been warned!

The pet space lures in genuinely kind and intelligent employees from entry level through associate director.

Cons

Amazon-level toxicity and politics without Amazon-level compensation. No appreciation for technical vision that did not come from "leadership." Opaque and constantly shifting growth path / goal posts. If you have more than 8 years of experience, I would avoid this place. Senior engineering talent is not just unvalued here; it's resented. They are counting the days until they can replace you with AI, and not even trying to hide it.
