Pros

Interactions with guests. Great discounts. Coworkers are more like family than colleagues. Great training programs. Fairly decent benefits package offered for full time employees.

Cons

Poor communication from corporate to field operations. Clumsy rollout of new promotions or new food products. Mentality that the games and facilities need to be up kept and repaired, but forbidding the spending of money to do so.

Pros

-Awesome for people who like tinkering with and troubleshooting electronics -Always something to do; never have to deal with boredom -Free food for Team 2s/managers -Job gets incredibly easy in the spring months for people in northern states -Coworkers can be a lot of fun -Very flexible hours, agreed with my manager on specific days of the week that I want to work, and schedule's been the same for about a half-year. Never been declined a properly requested day off.

Cons

-For gameroom, there is a closing checklist where you're expected to do everything on it, even though it can often take until midnight or later on busy weekends. All the things on there are monotonous, and many seem like they don't really need to get done. -Employees are held to ridiculously high standards while getting paid very little. On busy days, you're expected to do several different things simultaneously, and when you somehow can't do all of it, you're lectured by the management. You're given many tasks that you have to do throughout the night (e.g top off the tickets in every game, dust all the games, and scan every game for the card drop), while also being expected to have all the empty tables cleared off for the next guy, and having the floors spotless. On top of all that, you have to set aside about ten minutes every hour to "wake up" Chuck E. Cheese because the cashiers and party hosts will never do it. -At my location, we are extremely understaffed. We currently have 2 gameroom attendants (including myself), and because of that our schedules are 100% staggered, where we'll never be able to get help closing or keeping up on busy weekends by other gameroom attendants. The last time I've had somebody who closed with me or even was a midshift was a few months ago, and it was actually achievable to meet most of the unrealistic requirements by the management, and it all around worked much better. -The whole "minimum on-the-clock hours and as high as possible profit margin" business plan is very ridiculous. The place does not run nearly as smoothly as it should because of this.
