Pros

In charge of (almost) everything Always something to keep you busy Always changing (if you like that)

Cons

Insane tight labor that compromises guest service Having to explain yourself to backseat district managers only to be told that's an "excuse." Why ask if your every response is going to be "that's an excuse." Learn the difference between excuses and legitimate reasons. Clueless upper management and corporate office.

Pros

Will teach you how to multitask. I was a senior assistant manager : here was a glimpse of my day ; Give instructions to the cashier as I'm fixing a game since my attendant is in the chucke suit, run to merch so a line of kids can redeem thier tickets, oh wait the ice cream machine is broken, oh crap susie at kid check needs her lunch, mclane is at the back door with our delivery, and kitchen needs help running orders, oh but btw Irene's birthday mom is pissed because we sat her on row 8 and 9 when she thought she said she wanted 1 and 2 but there is already a party there... this job taught me to appreciate every one I have had since.

Cons

Benefits are too expensive compared to pay. Weekends are impossible to get off. Most employees are teenagers that get "sick" on weekends and can't close because they are minors Raises are very very small Bonuses only for general managers not for the people who really make it happen

Pros

Not many. Free food as a manager, environment can be fun when staffed to a level that you can actually help the guest and make them happy.

Cons

So focused on labor as a manager you will end up running shifts, just yourself and one cast member when you should really have yourself and 3-5 cast members. This leads to guest complaints, and bad surveys and they expect high survey results. It just doesnt work.
