      No surprise that Citizens may be up for sale.

      Pros

      Citizens had been a place where one could get a good start in the financial services industry. But pressures from the top for unrealistic growth created unethical behavior, mistrust and a very stressful, negative work environment. Of course, we have since found out what a disaster its parent company, the Royal Bank of Scotland, is, so there was obviously trouble brewing for some time.

      Cons

      Disrespectful management, a "Stepford Wives" kind of do what I say, not what I do mentality.

      Pros

      It is in a Convienentlocation and close to my home.I have been able to continue working at this location by staying with the teller line and NOT advancing. The Branch Mangement team that The Delaware Branches have are under severe pressure to meet goals set by the company. If any particular manager fails to meet the assigned branch goals they do NOT stay with the company. Most managers tend to move onto another bank within two years.

      Cons

      Citizens Bank branches in Delaware have a very high turn-over of management. Citizens Bank is very goal oriented and requires attainment of said goals in order to maintain your job.

      Pros

      Vacation Time and their work-life balance, which includes flexible work arrangements such as working from home.

      Cons

      A lack of clear direction from the Executive Team and many overlapping departments make daily life a little bit frustrating. Right now it seems as though we are being prepared for sale so the Royal Bank of Scotland can pay the Gov't back.
