Stay away from the narcissistic CEO

Pros

Do you like working for a narcissist? Do you want to be follow unreasonable demands without thought? Do you want your morale broken like a military boot camp? If so, this place is for you!

Cons

All of the 1-star reviews are accurate. All of the 5-star reviews are fake, paid reviews or forced reviews. Plain & simple, the CEO is a narcissist. He pays low salaraies and expects you to work 24/7, including Saturdays & Sundays. Do what he says, don't question him, don't bring new ideas. He's the smartest person in the world and he knows what works. If it's not working, you're doing something wrong and you should do it 3x more (which is the definition of insanity). Check LinkedIn, there has been a revolving door or employees who work there for a short period of time. Once you're hired, it's quickly aparent that you should move on quickly, unless you enjoy verbal abuse.

First, I like to thank you for providing your feedback about our organization. It is very much appreciated. One of our core values is Open and Honest Conversation. You have done so here and so I will do my best to reply with the same mindset. I have conducted an internal investigation with our sales, marketing and leadership to review your feedback. Be that as it may, we also know that sales and marketing are difficult jobs which can lead to turn over. And sales or marketing is not for everyone, especially if one is not open to feedback from other team mates on the quality of sales leads they are providing. Another core value is accountability. Our team is only as strong if we can all provide valuable feedback to one another without someone getting offended, name calling others and steering up drama. You comment “ Pro; Do you like working for a narcissist? Do you want to be follow unreasonable demands without thought? Do you want your morale broken like a military boot camp? If so, this place is for you! “ I have spoken to our VP of Operations and our leadership team. Despite our best efforts, we don’t always get this right. Working in a fast paced organization like Claim can be hard for some people. We sincerely apologize for letting you down. We now have a newer hiring process to only bring on individuals who are mission-minded, people who are invested in helping others and looking to go above and beyond. We are a fast moving organization, and may not be a fit for some people due to their personality or work ethics. At Claim Academy we are a team of dedicated people who are fanatical about helping our students succeed. Your comment “ Cons: All of the 1-star reviews are accurate. All of the 5-star reviews are fake, paid reviews or forced reviews.” We believe everyone has an equal right to their own feedback. We thank you for sharing your own feedback, despite being with 1-star. We also thank all past and current employees who provided us positive reviews based on their experience at Claim Academy. These feedback help us to learn what we are doing well and what we need to improve upon. Your comment “ Plain & simple, the CEO is a narcissist. He's the smartest person in the world and he knows what works. If it's not working, you're doing something wrong and you should do it 3x more (which is the definition of insanity). “ At Claim, we rely on our team for the best ideas and results. Every Monday we meet , discuss ideas and collaborate on solutions. Our one-on-one meetings to hear concerns, monitor growth and find out what employees need to best help them to be successful. We celebrate our employees and the value they add to our company. It is however hard for us to work with someone who is not coachable and doesn't want any feedback from other team mates but knows it all. Especially if their result proves otherwise. We believe our starting salary is commensurate with industry, experience and even provided a raise of $2500 within 4 months of joining our organization to the marketing manager. This is contrary to what is stated here. To my knowledge, we have never asked our marketing manager to come to work on a Saturday or Sunday, nor asked anyone to work 24/7. Our full time employees work 40hr/week, 9 am- 5 pm as indicated in our employee handbook, except our full time instructional team who work 10am-7 pm, with an hour break Monday- Friday, due to our 9 hour full time coding bootcamp schedule. We put our employees family first and career second. Your comment “Check LinkedIn, there has been a revolving door or employees who work there for a short period of time. Once you're hired, it's quickly apparent that you should move on quickly, unless you enjoy verbal abuse.” We agree sales and marketing are very hard jobs and not for everyone. We have no record of anyone verbally abusing others on our team or treating others bad. One of our core values is to treat everyone with respect. And we sincerely appreciate your time working with us at Claim. Thank you. Ola

Pros

I've been with Claim Academy for more than a year now, and working with them has been rewarding. One of the things I admire about Claim Academy is the excellent organizational culture that is highly visible in how staff interact and treat other staff members. Staff at Claim Academy, no matter your position or years of experience, are treated with great respect and are encouraged to do the same with students. Staff often partake in meetings that help shape their perceptions and better the services they render to students and the general public. Claim Academy provides the platform for staff creativity, diversity/inclusion, excellence in performance among staff members, and various opportunities that allow staff members to achieve their career goals.

Cons

Not a fortune 500 company yet.

Pros

Great culture. Owner of the company is great to work for. Is willing to listen to new ideas and always proactive when it comes to pushing new ideas. The school make sure students need always come first. Respect and value each employee also.

Cons

Going the extra miles to ensure successful graduation of students may not sit well with some people. You are expected to keep learning new technology that is transferred to class learning.
