Pros

- You get 2 monitors in addition to a laptop - Growing company with the possibility to move up - 1 work from home day after a year - Free cereal

Cons

- BELOW average pay - You will be working in the dark (they only turn on 1/3 of the lights) - Management buys office snacks, but intentionally the ones no one likes - You are a resource - You will get 1/10th the perks your peers in the PA office get - Managers micromanage everything you do - Only 10 PTO days

We're sorry to hear you wouldn't recommend working for Clark. We are very intentional about making sure employee compensation is competitive and above average for the market. We just updated our PTO structure so that employees are able to earn more days earlier, and we are constantly evaluating the benefits offered to make sure they're competitive and meet (or exceed) our employees' expectations. We also seek to hire employees who are reliable and do the right thing which is why we offer some the ability to work from home. If managers truly were micromanaging everything employees did, we would not offer this perk. Your feedback has been passed along to our Tampa management team for additional review.

Pros

The only benefits are the hours of work and a handful of other associates that aren't out to cut throats or walk on others to get ahead.

Cons

The management from the top down is abysmal. Fred Clark visited our Madisonville, KY location and had EVERY SINGLE associate ushered off of the floor so as to not all us to speak to him. He didn't speak to any associates or offer thanks for our work that earns his profits. As to the management at the Madisonville location: repugnant. It's a culture of "bow your head and get back in line" and bulverism. Even if you have a valid concern, they will simply explain to you why you are wrong. The management doesn't listen to the concerns of associates and people with no management skills are allowed to advance on the merits of their closeness to a particular manager. The top management is also comprised of people with no managerial experience; social workers and ex-teachers do not necessary translate into valid management experience, regardless of academic credentials. Also, they fire so many people it's entire possible to have an entirely new crew from month to month. Sure, perhaps on a national level their turnover is low, but in this area everyone in the tri-county area has worked here and either left for greener pastures or was fired within their first two weeks.

While it is true that employees can grow into leadership roles without prior management experience at another company, most of this person's claims are not true. The CEO did visit the Madisonville location, however, no employees were ushered off the floor during his visit. We pride ourselves on offering a friendly, motivating work environment where communication between management and the staff is open and honest. We encourage employees who have concerns to speak directly with their manager so that the concerns can be addressed.

A Quickly Growing, Successful Company

Pros

This is a quickly growing, hugely successful company. The work environment and employees are top notch. New facilities are constantly being built and existing ones are being improved/remodeled. There is good reason for them growing from a small company to an industry leader. Innovation, efficiency and technology are embraced. Much effort is devoted to training employees to become experts in their field. Management is open to suggestions and concerns. Along with growth comes opportunity. Bring a positive attitude and a strong work ethic and you will succeed. This is a hugely successful company that I am proud to be a part of.

Cons

You must be a team player and remain open to change. The company is growing quickly, so change is frequent. Expect to be required to prove yourself, so be patient.
