They don't care about employees

Pay was decent, subsidized lunch was nice

Cons

There is no proper feedback from management. During my time there I had weekly one on one meetings with my manager and was continuously told I was doing a great job. Stakeholders enjoyed working with me and liked how I presented ideas and information. Despite being told I was doing a great job over and over again I was let go for 'not being a good fit'. There was no warning, and no sign of an issue and there was no opportunity for course correction. As others have mentioned, this place doesn't care about it's employees and will throw you out the door with no warning.

Our managers seek to provide transparent communication and opportunities for improvement throughout an employee's first 60 days but will make the difficult call to let someone go if they feel it's what's best for both the company and the employee.

Pros

There are no pros to working at Clark.

Cons

No HR involvement leaves too many decisions in the hands of managers, many of which have poor people management skills. No processes/algorithms are used in decision making, which leads to it being your opinion vs your managers. If you and your manager do not think alike, your time at Clark will be short lived. Company culture is very unfriendly, do not expect a “good morning” from anybody.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear you had a negative experience working in our Purchasing department. Our turnover rate is actually quite low compared to the national average, but we are always looking out for ways to improve and retain great employees. We intentionally encourage employees to express concerns directly to their managers to promote open, honest, and productive communication so issues can be resolved quickly without getting a third party involved, however, our Benefits team is available to meet with employees should they feel the issue needs to be discussed with someone who does not manage them.
