Pros

Classic vacations has a great work culture. The benefits of being part of a larger organization and yet retain the connection with its employees. The Brand is respected among travel circles and I do take pride in being part of this organization and the quality of service it represents. Be ready to put on the freshman 15 in your first year here as the vendors will ply you with goodies including catered lunches all year round! LOL. Love the coworkers... fun eclectic group coming to Classic from different industries! Especially love the in depth training from one of the best trainers in our field. We are truly equipped to excel at our job.

Cons

Lack of flexibility for time off. This is not a Classic Con ... just being a call center format, which is what we are. Just set your expectation.

Pros

I was instantly welcomed onto the team and supported by my co-workers in the marketing and web departments. I stepped into a role that had never been considered a full-time role before, and since my manager is so awesome (best I've ever had!) I was given creative freedom and immediately trusted on my expertise in this field. That trust, freedom and support has allowed me to succeed at my work and made me feel valued for what I do. Other pros: work-life balance highly encouraged by management, lots of women in leadership roles at this company, travel opportunities, unique benefits because the company is owned by Expedia, and good compensation. I can easily see myself working for Classic Vacations for a very long time.

Cons

I've been with the company over a year and still feel like "the new person" sometimes because of how different this company is from any other I've worked at. There are a lot of unique aspects of the business to learn, the way things operate can seem odd at first, and you really have to spend time building relationships with people in the company in order to feel like you understand where your role fits into the big picture. If you are a people person like me, this is not a bad thing.
