Highs to Lows in Less than One Season

Pros

Casual dress code, most people are friendly and upbeat, beautiful mountain setting, can wear headphones at your desk, most managers don't look over your shoulder every 5 minutes to make sure you're working.

Cons

Company appeared to panic earlier in the year, did some layoffs, and now all departments are critically short staffed. Overtime is onerous, and mandatory (is that legal?). Some people are working as much as 70 hrs/wk, but still not getting on top of the volume.

Pros

Stability in the company overall. Good Leadership, Up to date computers and work environment.

Cons

Almost all the work force is under 30, there are very minimal veterans or anyone with a disability working in the Reno office. The benefits for a family could be a lot better.

Pros

Pay was good, Snow in Truckee was fun, I liked hiking on my lunch hour.

Cons

Uncaring rude management. For some reason they hire people with good skill and knowledge, but when you give your opinion and reasons for doing something the right way, they don't take the advice. When they Hire you they talk about "pow pow days" (snow days), but take heed you'll never get one if you work there. The Raises/Reviews were always with out fail 6 months or more late. Quite simply management will lie to you, and then lie again to cover up the first lie.
