Pros

Conversational AI is an interesting area to work in

Cons

I wish I would have read and heeded the glassdoor reviews. As long as any of the original founders are at the company, expect poor management. PhD's just don't know how to run a company at any scale. Some of the issues are baked in now. For example most of the workforce is trying hard, but is very junior. While given the opportunity to hire competent middle management, the founders have not, probably due to the fear of what would happen if the company was run correctly. I would not work for this company under any capacity under it's current leadership.

Pros

At one time, Clinc had done an impressive job in hiring young talent and there was a sense of camaraderie amongst employees. This was necessary to endure the inexcusable culture and poor management of leadership. The technology has potential and is an exciting field.

Cons

Leadership lets inexcusable behavior slide. If they are honest with themselves, they know that they were fully aware of the actions of the former CEO and helped enable his behavior and pattern of inappropriate (I'm being kind using that word) actions. These enablers are still at the company and there is no remorse for what their employees endured. The company is rife with ego. Management across the board contains leaders who surround themselves with 'yes'-men, and have contempt for opposing views (especially if those happen to come from women or younger employees). Clinc is experiencing significant layoffs that have been impending far before Covid, due to leadership spending in excess on intercontinental first class flights (often spontaneously booked a day before), bottle service at the club, and many other inappropriate expenditures. Money was flying out the window purely for the purpose of padding the CEO & other's egos. After raising 52M less than a year ago, it is worth emphasizing that these actions contributed directly to individuals losing their jobs.
