Pros

• Supportive Management: Owners are constantly improving software and providing tools/resources, making it as easy and efficient as possible for designers to do their jobs. The management team provides excellent guidance and is approachable, fostering a positive work environment. • Strong Team Dynamic: Collaborative team culture where colleagues – managers, designers, engineers, installers, scheduling, purchasing, office personnel - work together to meet customer needs and achieve success. Love the support and comradery, from back-office to showroom. Great company culture. • Creative and Engaging Work: I genuinely enjoy helping clients improve their space. Being an integral part of the design process – from measuring a space, to design/color selection to seeing a Pinterest dream space come to life - is fascinating and rewarding. It never gets old! Working in CAD software has also enhanced my design skill set. • Schedule: Totally flexible! I can work when I want; I am able to take time off for personal appointments when needed and vacation when I want. It’s as simple as blocking out my calendar so that company leads are assigned around MY schedule. • Compensation: Competitive commission-based structure and monthly performance bonuses.

Cons

• Competitive Market: Competition from other custom closet companies with aggressive discount strategies, retailers offering lower-cost alternatives and DIY solutions challenge pricing and market share. • Opportunities for Growth: Pathways for career advancement not defined for designers and other franchise roles/opportunities not “advertised” or posted, internally. • Fast Paced/Autonomous Environment: Juggling project management and meeting sales targets can occasionally feel stressful. You must be self-motivated, exercise time management and be a go-getter to get the most out of your work week. • Custom Software: There’s a learning curve with the company CAD program. But once you get it, you’re equipped to design and price a custom space right in a client’s home during the initial consultation meeting (with manager back-up, when needed). • Employee Expenses: Designers do not get a company-issued laptop (purchase/use your own) and we’re responsible for paying for gas and tolls with no stipend. • No Paid Time Off: No holiday pay, no pay for sick/personal/vacation time.
