Pros

Coalfire has a number of things going for it right now. They are an industry leader and are growing rapidly. Work/life balance is important and management is direct in not wanting employees to overwork themselves. Benefits are great, and the remote working is wonderful. The best pro though has been the team I worked with. The Healthcare unit is amazing from the top down, and the Director I reported to was one of the finest bosses I've ever had.

Cons

Project management could use some work and guidance, but that's pretty common in the field. I really don't have other cons. I'm leaving due to personal circumstances, not to go anywhere else.

Pros

Growth is good and you get to work on projects to increase knowledge There are smart people in this company whom you get to learn from.

Cons

Could use some more communications between consultants and directors or higher up management. Difficult to get projects and work cross-teams/department within the company

Pros

Unless you prefer to work at a toxic, racist, sexist, inflammatory environment with close minded people who treat the office like a High School cafeteria...there are few positive aspects of working for this company. You might like the ability to make up your own cool job title like "Senior Associate" or "Director of Something or Another." They pay a lot of money to people who have no idea what they are doing. Office affairs and gossip are a regular thing and you can move on up in the company if you play those games or turn a blind eye to them as well.

Cons

This is truly a place that enforces the "Good Ol' Boys" club and the open HR/EEOC violations are glaring. Hiring practices based on people's skin color, appearance, etc. is disturbing and blatant. Veris Group openly lied to employees about being acquired...only to be acquired and gutted within months. Employees drinking at the office after hours and sleeping with one another was accepted and tolerated by HR. Brown nosing and butt kissing will get you a raise/bonus so bring your kneepads and best lipstick. If you are a minority, keep it moving as they will give you the worst assignments and make it extremely uncomfortable for you until you voluntarily leave. Once employees leave the company, HR attempts to ruin their reputation and illegally commits acts of libel and slander. This is a bush league company and they are reaping what they have sewed over the last few years.
