Coffman has many pro's. I have been here for almost 10 years, why? Because Coffman is home away from home. We are a family at Coffman, they care about your well-being, they understand you have a life outside of work, and they try hard to maintain a culture everyone can connect to. I am very happy here at Coffman, and couldn't imagine working anywhere else.

Cons

The health insurance has a high deductible, so I never reach it 100%.

Home away from home! Exactly the hope. We spend 33% of our awake hours at work. If it didn't feel like family - assuming you have a high functioning family :), then life is too short. As a family we do have our squabbles and personality conflicts, but we should always be trying to improve. As far as high deductible insurance, yeah, I'm feelin' it too. The key is to take advantage of any healthy stretch that you have and store up your deductible in your HSA. After that (from a cash flow perspective) it is just like a PPO. That's great advice. We like to think that we don't throw people into the deep end. This may be true technically. But I understand that any company's business systems and internal workings can be overwhelming to navigate. We have continually improved our on-boarding process, but we have remained focused on the first week of employment. I would really appreciate some more detailed feedback about training that may be helpful to new employees. I've been here 22 years. The energy and enthusiasm of the office drives productivity for the employees, which results in a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. What Coffman has been able to create and maintain is truly unique. As the company continues to succeed, there is a strong emphasis on maintaining this culture and ensuring each employee feels respected and appreciated.

Cons

The schedule can be demanding at times, however, that is typical for all engineering firms.
