Pros

Honestly not sure why there are so many bad review. Like ANY other accounting firm, you will work long hours.. that is a given. After accepting that you will have busy season hours, it is honestly not that bad. This might just be in the Baltimore office/the department I am in, but most people are in the office, and there are some travel. I've been at two other firms and this firm has allowed me to stay in the office than most other firms which to me is a HUGE plus. Traveling makes it exhausting during busy season so majority of the traveling is done during the interim work which really helps you out. Also- when you do travel, you get to travel to pretty awesome places so it turns out to be a win win. The culture is very laid back, wear jeans everyday, and young peers. They do many trainings so it really helps you out. I honestly have enjoyed my time here so far.. can't really complain. Lots of awesome people here that will help you out when you need a little guidance. This office is also smack dab in the best location in downtown Baltimore.

Cons

-Hard to move up -hours can be long -groups can feel segregated at times -all depending on what group you are in, there can be great exposure or not enough exposure

Pros

-You can wear jeans everyday if you're at the office. -You will enjoy working with almost all of your co-workers. Everyone is mostly friendly and willing to help you.

Cons

-Long hours depending on your clients. Sometimes you may need to work busy season hours outside of busy season. -After busy season, you roll right into EBP season. The work on these jobs is boring and mundane. -There is no 401(k) match, and the benefits package isn't great. -Office politics -There was a lot of employee turnover this year. -It usually takes longer to get promoted. You have to work 3 busy season before you make Senior, and 3 years as Senior before making Manager. Some firms it's 2 years to make Senior and another 2 to make Manager.

Pros

Lots of PTOs (4 weeks at first year associate), Spacious cubes (big NO to hoteling), flexible schedule and supportive management. The WomenCan program, the sponsorship program, the mentoring and buddy system... the company wants you to succeed and is there every step of the way to help you achieve your goal!

Cons

Pay is about industrial average, client needs to be more diversified.
