Pros

Benefits, certain people who are great to work with

Cons

Expected to work long hours and cut into personal life to "meet business needs." Teams feel self contained and constantly have to poke for information or solutions

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience working at College Board. We strive to create a great work environment where all employee voices are heard and what you describe is not the kind of culture we want. We value your feedback and hope that you will address your concerns with your talent business partner if you have not already.

Pros

Love the people, great and fun environment.

Cons

Sr. Management has maniac and truly crazy people employed as Directors. They need a health fair with mandatory psychologist to test the people. My suggestion is that have all Sr. Leadership put under counseling.

Pros

Many of your coworkers are cool. Benefits are great. Rising desks are fun. Location near Fulton Center means transportation is easy.

Cons

There is a growing cognitive dissonance among employees. Everytime to CEO speaks to the organization, there’s a thinly veiled message about our profits increasing by “expanding access to high school education,” when in reality we are simply playing into the fact that certain demographics are put at disadvantage because our tests are not easy. It is hard to feel like we are a non-profit org that cares about people when the people at the top only care about profits. This is all to say that employee morale is falling and it’s falling fast. The lack of upward momentum is a known problem and it only grows more noticeable as the years go on.

We appreciate your feedback, thank you. Our full leadership team is deeply committed to the College Board’s mission to clear a path for all students. We are always open to receiving feedback. We’ll continue to explore ongoing communication channels between staff and the leadership team about their work, our priorities, mission, and our culture. We’re also proud that employee engagement, measured through an annual Gallup survey, continues to increase as we focus on making the College Board a great place to work. -- Karl D'Souza
