Pros

Vacation, Holidays, and PTO days given are above the norm.

Cons

You are just a number and all they are interested in is receiving there mgmt fees from the clients. Upper mgmt could care less about the clients needs or savings. third party mgmt, this is what you get. It’s also all about politics and The Who’s who or better yet who you kiss up to. You are thrown into a mess and receive no ones support.

Pros

- If you are fortunate enough to be paired with someone who will teach you things, then you will be successful otherwise you will not move forward because the Head of each department will not acknowledge it

Cons

- Bad benefits - Payroll is extremely unorganized and combative. Payroll is a huge portion of a company and there were far too many mistakes for their level of a company. Common mistakes include Maintenance Engineers not being paid for their overtime and vacation, Payroll not being organized with vacation hours and then tell employees they have to prove their time after being with the company for 7+ years, etc. When errors are brought to their attention, they become threatening and combative and extremely unprofessional. Again, extremely unprofessional for a company of this stature. - Outdated systems and software. Other commercial management companies are able to produce advanced documents for their clients and Colliers uses outdated equipment and software which is an extreme disadvantage to the employees - All around, the Boston office has significantly decreased in client retention within the Real Estate Management department and no new business is brought in. Lay offs are made and the person in charge of new business should be rotated out for poor performance

Pros

The assistants and the property managers a nice.but so iver worked and unsupprorted the atmosphere is toxic. The broker were professional.

Cons

The leadership directly above property managers were condescending and would pinch every penny to a ridiculous lever. They had no real plan for expansion but picked up a large number of buildings anyway. The single most uncomfortable off ice have ever been in and the pay I way. Below the market. Do yourself a favor and pass on this job.
