      Horrible place to work

      Pros

      The only pro here is the nice stand up desk the provide for developers.

      Cons

      Lack of talent and resources. Be prepared to be overworked and then talked about negatively in stand-up’s when you don’t overwork yourself. Be prepared to be pulled in multiple ways and do triple the work for the same pay. No motivation to work with newer technologies and implement new ideas. Most of the IT people who work here are older and all they know is Commerce. Also expect to work three times as hard to prove yourself if you’re not as “regular” as everyone else around you on the floor. Oh — and they also don’t pay out your money they’re supposed to if you ever decide to resign.

      Pros

      I started with Commerce on a temporary employment contract. I have found that there are ample opportunities to grow your career at Commerce Bank. It seems as if management is eager to promote from within, which helps expand career growth avenues.

      Cons

      There is not a particular "con" that comes to my mind. Overall, the company has treated me very well. No job is perfect, but I feel valued and encouraged by my team.
