Pros

Really nice people that work there

Cons

Management does not know what they're doing. Tons of layoffs, they lay off FTEs and keep contractors. Bible readings in meetings.

Pros

Has been a great company to work for, people are great, they treat their employees well.

Cons

As with most hospital systems, the technology they use is out dated and isn't always fun to work on applications. A majority of the user base are still on Windows 7 and IE as an example.

Sad to See How Bad Things Have Become

Pros

There are some really great people who work at Centura.

Cons

Overall bad leadership and bad treatment of good employees. They push really good people out. Some leaders get away with extremely bad behavior, violate HR policies, and face zero consequences. The morale is very low and it doesn't feel good to work there anymore. Leaders were given bonuses but hundreds of positions were cut in the middle of a pandemic. 2020 was Centura's best financial year, yet they forced 200-300 people out of a job during Covid. For being a Christian health-care organization, they do not treat their employees well. You are not rewarded for your years of hard work and service to the organization. At the end of the day, they only care about the money. The CIO said they would not cut positions then 6 weeks later laid a bunch a people off. Then, the CIO hired people she knew. Some of the people let go had been there for years and were really great people and good workers. Leadership has become a clique. If a leader is in the clique they will stay even if they are a bad leader with bad behavior. If a leader is not in the clique or stands up against bad behavior, they will get rid of them.
