Ridiculously understaffed at community subacute transitional care center. The cna's are overworked and underpaid! They have about 15 completely bedridden dependent patients. Overwhelming feels like you dont have enough time to get done.

Great opportunity if you like to work with children and not being stuck in an office all day going out to school sites

Cons

I was hired to go to school sites and work on children from preschool to 7th 8th grade there's only 2 days a week if only one that you go work at the school they don't give you hours they don't give you a schedule then when you don't show up they want to turn around and ask why you didn't show up well because I wasn't scheduled no notifications lots of gossip and the pay is absolutely lousy you got people running a certain Department that have absolutely no background whatsoever in the industry

Pros

good place to learn as a nurse. Some floors have high turn over rates so its easy for new nurses to get their first job there. Plenty of room for advancement in other higher acuity floors.

Cons

i think their pay rates are lower then other hospitals in the area... especially kaiser...
