Pros

Ability to churn out releases fast

Cons

? on Quality of the releases So much for Vaulter's culture - much of propaganda than actual warmth. Innovative product - which features? most of them are indigenous implementations of popular features available with other great innovators. Definitely does a great a job in filling the checkboxes fast. Hats off to the engineering for that. Work Culture - One thing that seriously needs some thought. Is this a culture that one would love to be in? Do I see getting mentored or leg pulled by my superiors? Do I have a voice in the organization or do I feel left out as I do no ally to either of the alliances Are managers worth to be managers? --- There goes the popular saying "People quit because of their managers .."

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I regret that you did not experience the values that so many of our Vaulters experience and take so much pride in. Our employees always have a voice which can be expressed through multiple channels such as speaking to leadership within your business function, contacting HR, and voicing concerns and providing suggestions through our annual anonymous employee survey. We heard loud and clear that Vaulters do love our unique culture as we were recently recognized as being one of the best places to work in New Jersey! That said, I hope you have found an opportunity which better suits your needs and career goals and I wish you success in all your future endeavors. Tracie Giles – Global Head of Talent Acquisition

Pros

Years ago I would have said this was the best job I've ever had. I loved the day to day work, my Manager, and my Associate Manager and was proud to work for Commvault. The culture was very laid back with little to no micro-management and rewarded hard work and dedication.

Cons

Over time the company seemed to care less and less about its US employees and is focusing on hiring overseas and pivoting away from US employees. We eventually stopped receiving yearly stock rewards for top performers and even our overtime opportunities were taken away and sent overseas. After laying off half of the company without regard to performance metrics of those being laid off, its obvious they only care about profit margins rather than customer and employee satisfaction. The company is pivoting to reliance on poorly trained AI chatbots instead of real human beings which will only deteriorate the customer-base through poor service. They promise career progression but I spent 6.5 years in the same Tier1 position while being told I was close to becoming a Tier2 for several years. The company is very Sales driven and it seems the Support Team (the ones who actually KEEP the Clients) gets no recognition by the executives, while at the same time Sales gets bonuses thrown at them like confetti.

Pros

Helps you pay bills if you can stand the management BS! There is hardly any glory left to work here.

Cons

Employee morale is in a non-stop downward spiral. The culture in the engineering management is to ONLY look good to the VP all the time. The middle management is neither good at tech nor management. Hence, they break things quite often and then pass-on the blame IMMEDIATELY to the lower-downs without any proof to save their own skin. Of course, it is the exact opposite when it is praise time. A lot of talented hires from engineering have left for good. Smart H1Bs start looking for jobs on the west coast as soon as they arrive here. It is a dead end for loyal engineers due to lack of growth or other opportunities and rampant exploitation.
