Pros

I am so impressed with Compass. The culture is outstanding, the values are inspiring and the excitement within the company is like nothing I've ever experienced before. Proud to be a part of such a hard working and talented team!

Pros

No better place to work. Everyone from the CEO (who is amazing) is smart, engaging and really really nice. A great company.

Cons

You need some experience under your belt to really make it work. I don't think that would count as a "con" necessarily but just a heads up.

Smoke & Mirrors

Pros

Nice coworkers and AMAZING food. Decent hours. Recruiting is great at finding talented people with drive which creates a fun, collaborative but there is absolutely no trajectory for a career when you arrive. Every department appears to be a revolving door of employees.

Cons

The reviews on this site are completely falsified. I have witnessed members of the Marketing team being forced to enter them. Compass has (ironically) absolutely no sense of where the company is going and what they value. Executives could not be less transparent (or more transparently at odds with each other). Reffkin is a nice guy with a ton of charisma and absolutely no idea what his employees or company want/need. He promises agents everything he can think of with no idea that Compass cannot deliver. Compensation is an absolute joke unless you are in business development or an equally visible department. There is no unified vision and priorities change WEEKLY. People & Culture team notoriously robotic and out of touch. Impossible to grow a career here. Agents are promised the world and arrive at just another brokerage (as an agent-facing employee, it is your job to disillusion them). Many departments are chronically understaffed and under-appreciated.
