Work is WORK... You still have a job to do.

Pros

This is a really great place to work. There are opportunities for advancement if create your path. No one should just be given an opportunity, it should definitely be earned. This does not mean that everyone earned the positions they have acquired. (Keep in mind not every place is "fair" all the time.) But if you work hard and prove yourself, you will be recognized.

Cons

The workload.. I'm not just talking about a few extra hours here and there. Unfortunately, there is more work than there are resources. Sales/Senior Management does not truly see the pressure put on the departments. Employees are becoming unhappy and it's becoming difficult to see the silver lining. Yes, there are surveys and more engagement activities but these activities do not make up for the workloads.

Dear Current Employee, Thank you very much for taking the time to provide feedback. I really appreciate it. I'm so happy to hear that you're happy in your job and you feel CSI is a great place to work. Our goal is that every employee feels the way you do. I want you to know the sales team and the management team do see the pressure that our marketplace puts on all team members. Every strategic move we make is to improve that very component of our work environment. As you you already know, we're releasing a new registration and analytics platform this year that is far more efficient than our current platform. We expect the work load of all team members to decrease upon full implementation. While this is happening we monitor all aspects of the working environment as closely as we can and we do whatever we can to make sure none of our team members have an unreasonable situation. We believe everyone will see improvement in 2017. Thanks again for your feedback and thank you very much for everything you do to make us great. Chris Williams President

Not a good place to work

Pros

Able to work a few days at home

Cons

Unprofessional management, verbal abuse, a lot of unpaid overtime required, no growth opportunities, expected to work during vacation time and holidays, difficult to get your vacation time, they fire a lot of people in cycles. It's a family run business and they do whatever they want to do to their employees. There is no encouragement, nor support from management. This is not a pleasant place to work and not a long term employment position. I discourage anyone from applying, there are much better companies to work for.

Dear Former Event Services Manager, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I appreciate it. I'm sorry things didn't work out for you at CSI however, you comments are simply untrue. The management team, from the executive team to the middle mangers, is very professional and dedicated to supporting the entire team and helping them grow. Almost 100% of all managers have been promoted from within the organization which supports the fact that growth opportunities are plentiful and available to everyone. There is daily encouragement and support from the entire management staff. It happens verbally, in writing, through training, through development and through team building. It's a major part of our corporate philosophy and it applies to everyone. Everyone in the company has vacation time and uses it. Like all companies, there's a procedure in place and it's not difficult to schedule and everyone does it. No one is expected to work during vacations and holidays. However, like all clients of any business, our clients do have an expectation that we'll deliver the services that were promised to them. Therefore, we have back-up procedures in place to complete work when someone is out for any reason. This has been the case for the entire 39 years we've been in business. This business is run by an executive management team. The team does include three family members but three people cannot run a business of this size. It requires a team and the decisions are made by that team in conjunction with the middle managers. Perhaps there are business where management can "do whatever they want to their employees" but this isn't one them. Our team members are the most important asset we have and the number one factor in our success. Our philosophy of putting them first will never change. Best Regards, Chris Williams President

Dear Former Anonymous Employee, Thank you for writing a review. I appreciate it. I'm sorry things didn't work out for you at CSI. Thanks for recognizing that you had excellent coworkers who are highly talented and dedicated. I couldn't agree more. Our team is our number one asset and their well-being is our number one priority. Sorry to hear you don't approve of senior management. However, to one of your points, in January of this year we hired a new CSO who has 20 years experience working for Fortune 500 companies. He's a great leader and we expect great results from him. Your comment about our long-term direction is off base. We have very clear short and long-term goals and we started sharing them with the team late last year. On that note, we've been very open about our development road map and we've demonstrated our new platform to the entire team. One of the primary results of the new platform will be to relieve work stress and improve work/life balance. Thanks again for your feedback. If you find yourself between jobs please take another look as us because I think you'll be amazed at our new technology. Sincerely, Chris Williams President
