Work is WORK... You still have a job to do.

Pros

This is a really great place to work. There are opportunities for advancement if create your path. No one should just be given an opportunity, it should definitely be earned. This does not mean that everyone earned the positions they have acquired. (Keep in mind not every place is "fair" all the time.) But if you work hard and prove yourself, you will be recognized.

Cons

The workload.. I'm not just talking about a few extra hours here and there. Unfortunately, there is more work than there are resources. Sales/Senior Management does not truly see the pressure put on the departments. Employees are becoming unhappy and it's becoming difficult to see the silver lining. Yes, there are surveys and more engagement activities but these activities do not make up for the workloads.

I'm so happy to hear that you're happy in your job and you feel CSI is a great place to work. Our goal is that every employee feels the way you do. I want you to know the sales team and the management team do see the pressure that our marketplace puts on all team members. Every strategic move we make is to improve that very component of our work environment. As you you already know, we're releasing a new registration and analytics platform this year that is far more efficient than our current platform. We expect the work load of all team members to decrease upon full implementation. While this is happening we monitor all aspects of the working environment as closely as we can and we do whatever we can to make sure none of our team members have an unreasonable situation. The people I met, will stay with me for the rest of my life.

I could go on and on, but I won't. Because I will get some BS response from Chris or Kahle, and honestly I won't even read it. Let's just say this, thank you!!! Because I now am at a company that knows how to respect an employee, listen to an employee and value their work. Honestly, not one thing that my time at CompuSystems ever gave. Middle management is great, if you get the right one. There are a couple and I will not name names, that will back-stab you and do everything in their power to save their butt and make you look bad. Better hope your life is perfect the whole time you are there, because if any emergency happens that takes you away from work and you get the wrong manager, look out. Upper management is just liars all around. They basically try to make you feel like a team, but basically they are out for their wealth and well being. They only make you feel bad for maybe working 23 instead of 24 hours in a day. They don't really know or care about their employees, just their A gamers that make them richer. Just take my advice, don't work here. You will never get ahead, you will always be made to feel bad or not good enough and you are just consider someone to make upper management richer. I wish someone would have told me this years ago, but there are so many places out there SOOOOO MUCH Better. Don't learn the hard way, like I did.

I walk the floors at CompuSystems every day and I am heavily involved in every facet of the business, and what you are describing simply isn’t accurate. We are constantly implementing new programs, user tools, and process changes to make things better for our employees and our clients. And we have a phenomenal group of managers who respect and care deeply for the well-being of the people they manage. Pros

The work from home program and time flexibility is excellent to balance life. The co-workers and immediate management is very genuine and supportive. The atmosphere has been positive until recent changes. (Please filter negativity or let me WFH when negativity is in the office - lol) For the most part it is a fun, fast-pace casual-dress environment. New ideas are encouraged and everyone's perspective (at least in our department) is valuable. The immediate management encourages growth and doesn’t hold you back.

Cons

We're ready for the new platform. Bring it on!

I believe our middle management team is fantastic and a huge reason why we're successful. I can't say enough about them and thankfully, many employees comment on how good they are. I also believe we're successful because of people like you. After almost 21 years at CSI I've gotten to see over the years how our team members make all the difference. We've been so fortunate to have people that love what they do and their passion shows in their work. I'm so thankful for that I know our clients are too. I will take you up on your advice to walk around the office more and I want you to know keeping the entire team informed and up-to-date on our initiatives is a top priority and I will make sure it happens. Great people, terrible work-life balance, toxic culture

Great people, opportunities to advance

Cons

Terrible work-life balance. It's nearly impossible to work just 40 hours per week. The workload far exceeds the capacity of the staff, and management creates a toxic culture of finger pointing and high expectations for the staff.

Dear Former Employee, Thank you for providing your feedback. We agree wholeheartedly -- we have an amazing team that is dedicated, hardworking and take amazing care of our clients. CompuSystems is very lucky. We understand that the work demands in this department can be significant at times. This, as you’ve been hearing from our president and the department director since the beginning of the year, will improve dramatically when we introduce new and more effective user tools later this year to support our clients. I am heavily involved in the day-to-day at CompuSystems and witness a much different environment than what you are describing. I see collaboration, cooperation, laughter and dedication. And when mistakes are made, I’m typically aware and involved along with the managers. Our approach is to understand why the mistake was made so we can take the necessary steps to prevent it from reoccurring. And our philosophy is that if one fails, all fail -- a team approach. We do have high expectations for our staff but I don’t think that is a negative. I’ve worked here for over 15 years and it’s in our DNA to continually improve processes and procedures due to the ever-changing nature of our business. Pros

The upper management is becoming more involved with fundamentals. Employees that do not preform or deliver are being eliminated. This should have happened a long time ago. Thank you!

Cons

Work is being outsourced. Outsourcing creates challenges to the daily workflow as the communication is difficult and can be frustrating at times.
