Pros

Great people. Interesting industry. I learned a lot while working there. Open door policy with easy access to management.

Cons

Lose a client, lose staff roller coster. There never seemed to be any long term strategic goals. Management decisions seemed arbitrary.

Dear Former Anonymous Employee, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I appreciate the feedback. I'm glad you feel our staff is great. I feel the same way. Our staff is our number one asset and every decision being made is with their well-being in mind. I can assure you there has always been, and will always be, long term strategic goals. I think the mistake was that we didn't communicate them well to the entire staff. We now have a communication process in place that allows us to share the company's goals and vision with the entire staff on an ongoing basis. Thanks again. Sincerely, Chris Williams President

Pros

Suburban location with ample parking where you can feel very superior to your bosses and as long as you don'y mind working in a 1980's environment with worn out carpeting to match. There are a few really nice people working here who put up with the poor management.

Cons

Privately held company where personnel turnaround is great and technology and infrastructure is outdated. Working cubicles are the smallest I have seen and don't expect the company to be around for more than another year or two. Unfortunately, they prey upon the under employed as a technology leader in "lead retrieval" market. Don't waste your career here!

Dear Former Data Analyst, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I appreciate it. I'm sorry things didn't work out for you while you were here. I hope you new career is fulfilling all of your goals. Our old building allowed us to grow from 75 employees to 240 employees without having to move. So from that perspective we liked it. However, we simply feel our team members deserved better so we moved into a state-of-the-art office building in Downers Grove. It's absolutely spectacular and everybody loves it. I wish you were here to see it. Also, we're in the middle of building a brand new, state-of-the-art registration platform. All modern technology is being used and it too is spectacular. It will be the absolute best platform in the entire industry and it will insure we remain the number one registration company in the US. If you find yourself in between jobs please take another look at us. I think you'll be amazed at what you see. Sincerely, Chris Williams President

Pros

Coworkers. You will have the opportunity to have good partners & friends here They will understand your pain and frustration. Free 15 min massage once or twice a month. After work activities like happy hour, bowling and game events (Not a company event, this is organized by employees for employees). Health benefits are VERY expensive but you get good coverage (dental plan is a joke) 401k

Cons

Poor training (if any) "land of the lost" I totally agree. Tons and tons of work and updates and no time to please everybody help others and meet tight deadlines at the same time. Always on the call (if you are a programmer, analyst, IT, or ESM) Long work hours (8:30am - 5:00pm plus another three or four at home plus weekend hours, you do the count). Salary not competitive, pay is low compared to the amount of hours you have to put in. This is why they are always hiring the "desperate" the unemployed and the recent college graduates to hire them for cheap. They use the excuse of the bad economy to freeze salary raises or to give you pennies in your salary increase. Like another reviewer before me stated, Technology and Infrastructure is outdated. Database and servers are dinosaurs waiting to die. No support from management, when something goes wrong everybody points the finger at each other. If you are in technology, you can't learn anything new here, everything is custom made for in-house use; you can't take this old technology with you anywhere else.

Dear Former Database Programmer, Thank you for taking the time to write a review and thank you for your hard work while employed at CSI. I appreciate it. A the beginning of 2014 we began a project to develop a completely new technology platform. The project is on schedule and the technology is fantastic. Our staff is very excited about it. The technology is modern and leading edge. We are building user tools that will be industry leading. One of the parts we're most excited about is how the platform is going to allow our staff to be extremely efficient in their jobs. It's particularly pertinent to your feedback because the database programmers will probably benefit the most from the new technology stack. We believe our compensation and benefits are competitive in the marketplace but of course we're always trying to improve them. Employee satisfaction is our number one priority and we've recently improved our training programs as well as added staff to reduce workloads. And, it's important to point out, we always treat our employees with respect and we always appreciate their hard work. If you find yourself between jobs please give us another look. I know you'll be very impressed with our new platform. Sincerely, Chris Williams President

Dear Former Employee, Thank you for taking the time to write a review and thank you for your hard work while employed at CSI. We do provide training. Some departments have more than others but we're always trying to improve this area of our company. In fact, some departments have full-time trainers. It is incorrect to say there are no raises ever. We have given raises every year of our 38 year history except one during the height of the recession. We have an excellent management team that has led us to being the number one company in our industry for the last 10 years. Sincerely, Chris Williams President
