"Respect, Trust, and Serve" means something here
Pros
At Computronix, our mission is to "Respect, Trust, and Serve each other and our clients". It's not just a slogan on the wall. It repeatedly comes up in all discussions about relationships with each other and our clients. Whenever there has been a significant problem in a project or any other interaction with a client, the "go-forward" is always geared to the primary goal, which is restoring respect and trust where they have been damaged, and finding better ways to serve. We even have quarterly staff meetings where the senior executive holds themselves accountable to all staff, identifying areas where they need to improve, and celebrating areas where we are doing well. For the 35+ years I have been with Computronix, we have had numerous people question whether you can really run a company this way. The answer is YES, but you have to be serious about it. We've proven it!
Cons
We're definitely not perfect. In fact, having and expressing these ideals makes it even harder when you fail to meet them. However, whenever it happens, we try to learn from it.
