Pros

Largely comprised of good people just looking to do their best work. On par salaries for industry, great benefits.

Cons

There’s a glass ceiling to getting into a “Band 3” position. Highly favors the in crowd/fan favorites vs top performers. Once you make 3, they own you and move you around like a GM of a baseball team would trade players - into roles you know nothing about. This truly serves no one. Destroys morale for those now teaching their bosses how to do basic skills in their own area of expertise. This leads to burn out, resentment and way too much required OT (again bc those above 3 must heavily rely upon their teams to be constantly on call /supporting them). Terrible strategy for retaining and developing top talent and recognizing their unique skill sets (not everyone is meant to do everything).

Toxic work environment

Pros

Compensation is OK. Irving place is a more civilized environment than the field positions

Cons

Company recruits young, bright people and then throws them into supervisory roles with no training. You get stuck supervising people twice your age that have barely done a lick of work in their life, and good luck disciplining anyyone because upper management is scared to make any waves with the union. As a female, I was harassed at this work place and it was completely toxic

Pros

Coworkers are very helpful. We looked out for each other and helped each other make it through the day.

Cons

Veterans take advantage of new female workers. You get sexually harassed and little sligh comments are made and when you bring it to the appropriate party they sweep it under the rug. Especially if the person you are reporting is about to retire. They will never mess up their time for a new employee with only 4 years in
