      Good Ol' Boys System on Steroids

      Pros

      Easy work, two 15 min. breaks and 1 hr lunch and nice allotment of vacation days. Work/life balance is good in some departments.

      Cons

      Major payroll system issues on certain projects. Regardless of your work ethic and talent, others who have seniority will always be given preferential treatment. Many of them have worked with each other 10+ years. No desire to welcome newcomers who add value and are more knowledgeable than senior reps in the department. Often, its a hostile work environment for newcomers, especially if you don't file in and assimilate as subordinates expect you to.

      Laid back atmosphere. If you are about your stats, you can get your bonus

      VERY DISORGANIZED, PAYROLL ISSUES and some of the upper management does not take responsibility for their own actions. Unprofessional and favoritism.

      Pros

      Fun, friendly environment. Low-key, laid-back, good people in general, good benefits structure, and flexible dress code/hours.

      Cons

      Disorganized is the name of the game. In 2 years with the business I never saw payroll done correctly. Tasks aren't communicated well from senior level staff, so even if your manager rocks, almost everything is a "firedrill"... there is always someone at the top who isn't being transparent with what needs to be done. Pay rates are also well below average. No good performance review structure. Poorly equipped staff don't receive what they need to do their jobs well (tools/programs).
