This is the longest that I have worked for a company and there's good reason for it
Pros
This is the longest that I have worked for a company and there's good reason for it. I started working for Conductor in their west coast office. Even though I was working in a remote office, I never felt unsupported or alienated. The team in SF is great, tight-knit and felt like a family. We traveled to NY often and was made to feel right at home. Fast forward 2 years later, I was feeling stagnant in my role and desperately needed a change. I loved the company but wasn't sure if I wanted to stay in my role in the long run. I decided to move to NY and was able to easily transfer from one office to another. Due to the company culture of keeping talent and encouraging growth, I was encouraged to switch teams and try my hands in a completely different role. On top of that, this all happened within the span of 5 months! In the end, I was able to change cities and career paths, which turned out to be the best decision I have ever made. I have worked for 4 different companies over the last 5 years and this is the only one where I felt like I would have been able to make such a big switch, in such a small amount of time, and be fully supported during the transitions. Oh, and our PTO policy is great, we are highly encouraged to take time off and recharge!
Cons
This goes for working at any start up, but changes happen quickly and often. People are expected to be agile and flexible.
