Lots of Work, Low Pay

Business Outlook

Pros

* Work from home * Not often micromanaged

Cons

* Paid $5-10/student. So, if you have a class with only a student or two, you have to do all of the work of recording and posting lessons, and holding live lessons, and spending a lot of hours for that $5-10. If you have a class with 100 students, it's more fiscally reasonable, but super boring to grade the same assignments over and over and over... * This place is WAY more political than any other school for which I have taught in my current state. The teachers are not supported as they should be. If a parent complains, the teacher is forced out rather than stood up for. That baffles me, as I have always been supported as a professional in previous schools in my current state.

Average Place to Work

Pros

Great benefits and 401k package (IF you can afford to contribute), lots of pto, work at home, growth (depending on where you want to end up)

Cons

Been here 4 years and my salary barely broke 35,000/year. The stress is NOT worth it. If you don't have children and have little to no bills, debt and live at home with your parents, then this is the job for you! Not a job for folks with actual responsibilities like children, student loan debt, medical bills. You will NOT make a living wage, unless you are a supervisor or higher.

Pros

-Was an okay company to work for a few years back when the administration team was different. Since the change in administration California Connections Academy has gone downhill fast! -Work from home (however it gets old when you have to put up with constant BS)

Cons

-Low pay (No set pay scale) -New hires (with no experience) came in making more money than employees that have been with the company for a while -Horrible Leadership (they are a joke) -No rules/guidelines (everything is "case by case") -Supervisors are hired with little to no experience in the field -Employees are never appreciated for their work and are expected to work outside of work hours for no extra pay -Staff here is extremely divided and will stab you in the back at any given moment or throw you under the bus to save themselves -Administration never takes responsibility for anything but instead plays the blame game -Principal is extremely rude to employees when approaching most issues (through email). The tone used via email is always attacking before any research is done
