Pros
COP, corporately and specifically at ConocoPhillips Canada, is very supportive of personal and professional growth. I feel like there is an infinity of possibilities at the company. As a 'fast follower' strategically, the company is near the leading edge of many fields. For technical people it is especially satisfying because COP takes innovation and technology very seriously. There is plenty of opportunity to collaborate within and outside of the company, and publishing work is encouraged.
Cons
COP is a large American company, rooted in a traditional industry. As such, some things are slow-moving and management are generally risk-averse. It's the price you pay to work in such a rich environment.
