      Pros

      Very interesting decentralized business model. Tons of freedom. The closest thing you can get to working for a small company - backed by the resources of a multi-billion dollar company. Entrepreneurial spirit. Good pay for those willing to earn it. (In Indiana most are called All-Phase Electric Supply - same company though)

      Cons

      Nothing that you won't have at every other company. Many things are shrouded in unnecessarily high levels of secrecy.

      Pros

      Complete autonomy, and it's not for the unmotivated. If you need someone to tell you what to do, or to motivate you, this isn't the management position for you. But if you enjoy freedom to make decisions based on what you feel is best for your location, and enjoy the "keys to the car" so to speak, then it would be tough to find a better gig. The profit sharing part of the pay scale takes this job into the next level. The base salary isn't anything to write home about, but when you factor in profit sharing, it makes it a pretty comfortable living.

      Cons

      Profit sharing is never a guarantee, and is based on the prior year's success.

      Pros

      They say you can be part of something big and with CED, you really can. It's a large company that gives freedom to each location to go to market in a way that serves their target market the best without being micro managed from the top. This flexibility within the marketplace can often give CED the advantage.

      Cons

      Base pay can be below average - but with a little ambition and willingness to learn, there are ample opportunities for career advancement.
