Pros

Gave platitudes to inclusive values

Cons

Micromanaging, extremely bad salary, replaced dozens of workers with AI. Additionally, there was a constant emphasis on meeting required project touches and adding a set amount of information daily rather than actually focusing on quality information and building good relationships with sources in the industry (therefore directly contradictory in practice to what the job description is). If they want more sheer volume of information, they should simply hire more people.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective. At ConstructConnect, the quality of our information is critical to the value we provide our customers and to the relationships our teams build across the industry. While activity expectations help support consistency, we are actively evolving how our teams work so they can spend more time building strong, lasting relationships with the sources and communities they cover. And while AI plays an important role in today's technology landscape, people will remain at the core of ConstructConnect. In recognition of this, we are continuing to sharpen our teams' focus and evolve our organizational structure. This includes some recent changes, such as saying goodbye to some team members while others moved into new roles. We recognize that these changes have been hard and our priority during this time is to support our departing team members with severance, continued benefits, and help finding their next role. If you were impacted by these changes, we wish you the best in your next chapter and encourage you to reach out to your People & Culture contact if you have any questions.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for your time at ConstructConnect. As our company continues to grow, we continue to refine our teams’ focus and evolve our organizational structure. As part of this evolution, we recently made some changes that included saying goodbye to some team members while others moved into new roles. We recognize that these changes have been hard and our priority during this time is to support our departing team members with severance, continued benefits, and help finding their next role. While AI plays an important role in today’s technology landscape, people will remain at the core of ConstructConnect. If you were impacted by these changes, we wish you the very best in your next chapter and encourage you to reach out to your People & Culture contact if you have any questions.

Pros

I’ve been with ConstructConnect for several years, and one of the things that continues to stand out is the company’s commitment to both its employees and the communities we serve. I’ve always felt encouraged to grow professionally. Whether it’s taking on new challenges, sharing ideas, or developing new skills, I’ve been given opportunities to make a meaningful impact. Leadership genuinely invests in employee development and creates an environment where learning never stops. This year I had the opportunity to volunteer with AEC Cares in San Diego, and it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Watching ConstructConnect partner with the industry to help renovate Rachel’s Women’s Center, a shelter for women who have experienced homelessness, was incredibly moving. Hearing the women’s stories and seeing the transformation of the shelter reminded me that our work can extend far beyond the office. I’m proud to work for a company that doesn’t just talk about giving back. ConstructConnect shows up and makes a difference. That same week, I attended the AIA Conference where I had the chance to connect with architects and share how ConstructConnect is working to strengthen our partnerships with the design community. It was exciting to have conversations around the analytics we’re providing and see those discussions spark collaboration and new ideas. It reinforced that we’re listening to our partners and continually looking for ways to create value together. As if that wasn’t enough, I followed an incredible week in San Diego with Gallup Manager training in Atlanta. It reminded me how seriously ConstructConnect takes leadership development. The company recognizes that managers play a huge role in creating an engaging workplace, and it invests in helping us become better leaders for our teams. Employee engagement isn’t just something we talk about at ConstructConnect, it’s something we’re actively working toward every day. No company is perfect, but I’m grateful to work somewhere that encourages growth, values relationships, gives back to the community, and empowers employees to make a real impact. I’m proud to be part of that culture.

Cons

There’s always room to strengthen communication during times of change. It’s great to see our department taking proactive steps to keep everyone aligned and informed as we navigate new workflows and processes.
