Pros

Every company says they care about their employees. Every company has a set of values written down somewhere and brought out for PR and recruiting events. Consumer Cellular is one of the few that feels like they actually live their values, and they really do care about all of us. Every win for this company is a win for its employees, whether it's in the form of bonuses, or paid lunches, more flexibility in work hours, or promotions. We share their success with tangible benefits. I only planned on working here as a second job, but after seeing how much I liked the work, and the people, and how much I respected the company, I decided to stay. Since starting a little over one year ago, I've had 4 promotions, so there is a lot of room to grow here.

Cons

I only wish there was a center closer to my house!

Pros

You get GREAT pay, an AWESOME benefits program encompassing your vision, dental, life, AND health insurance, AMAZING support staff, and best of all OPPURTUNITY to let yourself grow and explore the different roles this outstanding company has to offer. With a culture based on an idea of 'happy employees make happy customers', what's not to love?

Cons

This is indeed a call center. You get that grumpy fellow who feels he's been wronged on his bill or something from time to time. You have monthly metrics to meet, meaning your performance on the phone is measured and analyzed. You have to be able t shake your failures off and get back in the game and give yourself a fresh start to overcome those challenges. But not to worry, remember that amazing support staff I mentioned? They'll be with you every step of the way.
