Pros

Pay and benefits are good.

Cons

Honestly I met some great, creative, kind people during my time at Consumer Cellular however the one thing that ruined it was the CMO, Carter Nance. Working under Carter was an experience I won't soon forget, though for all the wrong reasons. Throughout my time at Consumer Cellular, I encountered a work atmosphere marred by unprofessionalism and misogyny, largely perpetuated by Carter Nance. From the onset, it became clear that respect and professionalism were not values upheld in this workplace. Carter consistently displayed behavior that was not only rude but blatantly disrespectful towards female employees. His misogynistic remarks and actions created an uncomfortable environment where women felt marginalized and undervalued. In addition to his discriminatory behavior, Carter lacked basic managerial skills. Communication was often abrasive and belittling, with little regard for employee well-being or morale. Constructive criticism was nonexistent, replaced instead by a culture of intimidation and fear. It's disheartening to reflect on my time under Carter's leadership, as it overshadowed any positive aspects of the job. I would caution anyone considering employment at Consumer Cellular to thoroughly assess the workplace culture and management style before committing, as my experience serves as a cautionary tale of what can happen when toxicity goes unchecked. In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend Carter Nance or Consumer Cellular to prospective employees. It's high time for a shift towards inclusivity, professionalism, and respect in the workplace, and it starts with holding individuals like Carter Nance accountable for their actions.

Pros

I guess if you're looking for a cheap cell plan that's a plus, but the coverage is terrible.

Cons

Bi-Polar leadership and direction. This place is more interested in staying on or off the right "lists" that the culture has been completely gutted! A dark cloud is imminent the moment you walk through the doors of this place. You can see it in the eyes of the employees and the CCM's. The deliverables they give you can be related to Baskin Robbins. There's 31 flavors and they're constantly changing! How they can choose to hold anybody accountable is a joke because nobody can meet their expectations. Here's an example..."Hey agent....you did XYZ on your performance KPI's I tell you what...I'll promote you AND give you a raise!....but don't get too excited because you missed our SITE goals so I'm gonna have to terminate you." True story. Figure that one out because the employees can't!
